Patient information
Clear answers about your care.
Practical information for appointments and the steps in between.
Choosing an appointment
A standard appointment is generally suitable for one main concern. Ask for a longer appointment if you have several concerns, complex symptoms, a mental health assessment or paperwork to discuss.
Call reception for procedures, nursing appointments and care plans so the appropriate staff and time can be arranged. A preliminary consultation, preparation or separate fees may apply.
Telehealth depends on clinical suitability, the doctor’s availability and Medicare eligibility. Please confirm with reception. Some concerns need an in-person examination.
If you cannot attend, give at least 24 hours’ notice where possible. See our cancellation policy.
Test results & follow-up
Your results are allocated to your treating doctor or a covering clinician for review. The clinician decides the follow-up needed and how you should be contacted. This may involve a phone call, message or an appointment.
Ask your doctor when and how to follow up your tests. If you have not heard within the agreed timeframe, contact reception. Do not assume that no contact means a normal result.
We may contact you about reviews, screening or other follow-up recommended by your clinician. Keep your telephone number and other contact details up to date, and let reception know your communication preferences.
Prescriptions & referrals
Contact reception before a prescription runs out or a referral expires. Your doctor will decide whether a review is needed. Reception cannot approve prescriptions or referrals, and an appointment may be required.
Bring your medication list and the details of any specialist or service involved. New symptoms, new specialist referrals, expired referrals and complex concerns usually require clinical review. Same-day completion cannot be guaranteed.
Accessing or transferring records
Ask reception to help with access, corrections or a transfer to another practice. We check identity and consent before releasing information and verify the receiving provider’s details. Ask about the process and any lawful access or transfer charges in advance. There is no charge for a correction request.
Our privacy information explains correction requests and how disagreements about a clinical opinion are handled.
Access, interpreters & communication
Please tell reception before your visit if you need an interpreter or communication assistance, have access needs, or would like to discuss support during your appointment. We can talk with you about the arrangements available.
If you are helping another adult with their care, we may need their consent before discussing personal information with you.
